Oscar Fashion

So the Oscars were last night and the looks were AMAZING! Here's my picks for Best Dressed, Worst Dressed, and top trends!  Enjoy!

Best Dressed

Naomi Watts- Naomi rocked this silver Armani Prive dress.  Her look was glamorous and edgy, and fit her like a glove.  The asymmetrical neckline highlighted her gorgeous face and the texture of the dress was nothing like anything else that we saw on the red carpet.

Reese Witherspoon- Reese emulated Hollywood glamour in this fitted royal blue Louis Vuitton number.  Embracing her inner Jessica Rabbit, this dress flattered Reese in all the right placed and really stood out on the red carpet.  Her signature 'do finished off the look to a tee.

Jessica Chastain- Jessica dazzled in this nude colored Armani Prive dress.  The fitted silhouette and subtle sparkle was just enough for her small frame.  She looked fresh and bright compared to the other dark dresses on the red carpet.

Worst Dressed

Maria Menounos- Maria, what were you thinking?!  This bubblegum pink Romona Keveza gown is absolutely gorgeous on her but the styling is anything but Oscar worthy.  The big hair pulled back with the headband and pave diamond necklace reminds me too much of a pageant than a Hollywood awards ceremony.  Styling is key!

Trends of the night

Neutral Pastels- There were many dresses on the red carpet that fit into the category of pastels.  Whether they be nude, cream, blush or shimmering peaches, these shades were a big trend at the Oscars.

Sheath Dress- Sheath dresses were definitely favored by starlets at the Oscars.  The fitted bodice highlights a small waist and the fitting continues as the fabric skims over the hips and things, creating a beautiful shape.  No wonder sheath were so popular!

Sweetheart necklines- It has been a few awards shows since we have seen such popularity with the sweetheart neckline, and I am glad its back.  The neckline is flattering on almost every body type and completely old Hollywood glamour.
